yesh.. accident prone Bridget Tan has done it again.. this time it's big! series of events for ppl hu wanna noe so i dun have to repeat myself ten thousand times, although i appreciate all ur concern.. :) was havin kickboxing in the school hall when we were asked to sprint.. me being competitive n stuff.. well.. think i slipped on the drapes left hanging from the stage, and crashed onto the edge of the stage.. at first thought it wasn't much.. not much pain.. before kim came n her face told me all i needed to know.. in spite of her reassurances "There's no blood, you're gonna be alright", i knew it was serious.. especially so when i heard the conversations with the pe teachers... my braces had pierced through my lower lip and my entire lower teeth had caved in.. was sent to NUH in an ambulance.. word of warning, go to anywhere but NUH when u get injured or u might as well simply self medicate. The service was slow and the staff unsure.. there were some nice ppl such as this student nurse from NP, and a doctor named Mannings.. they were reassuring, but the three dentists working on me, disorganised, inexperienced, and overall a mess of arms and legs who are heartless and not to mention ruthless.. why do i say so? simple. they had no idea where all the things were and, in quote 'improvised' on everything! used a regular needle to inject the anaesthesia and din care even though it hurt like sh**! i flailed my arms and cried like i never cried before but to no avail.. furthermore, they took about 15 -20 mins before they actually found what they needed, or improvised.. yes, my entire surgery had been improvised and heartlessly performed amidst the ringing tones of 'cockledoodle doo!' and the nokia ringtone..i kid you not.. the horrors of NUH.. at the end of the three hour long ordeal, i emerged looking like i had a taiwan sausage for a lower lip... and stitches enough to sew a dress! as well as a bandaged wrist as i had used my right hand to break my fall.. and to top it all of... andrea called Shaun!!! goodness gracious.. on one hand i was glad to c him, on the other.. din wan him to see me lookin the way i did.. with a coupla threads sticking out of the place where the brace had pierced like a live mole.. :s saw a HUGE group of ppl too! grandma, two aunts, leng, kim (hu postponed her piano lesson when her exam was the next day), andrea and i heard another aunt and dad was there too.. yesterday went back to NUH and had to take another x ray as well as c a so-called specialist which turned out to be one of the dentists from the night before.. the amaaazing miracle he did to cure me.. place wax on the wires of the night before.. wow! den told me i might lose all my bottom teeth and may have to use dentures.. i'm only 19!!!! another dentist suggested goin to my orhtodontist, which i did immediately. once there, was quikly observed by both dentists and discussions were made as to how to go about it.. apparently the NUH docs had affixed their wire to my braces wire which had already been damaged and indented as it is hence unable to hold the lowere teeth in its rightful place further front where they attempted to re shift the position of the teeth.. hence, i underwent another hour plus of surgery before an arch bar as well as new wires were fixed whilst the old ones were removed.. contrast between experienced dentists and crap ones, they show consideration for their patients by being gentle, and do all they can to right the wrong.. they also, amazingly, know where their things are... truet W S GO Associates at Paragon Medical Centre.. cost me 938 for that surgery but thank goodness for medisave.. and their work is definitely more worthy of such a price... i'd rather leave my fate in their hands.. have been flooded with well wishes from many too.. thanks to all for ur concern.. Bree shall pull thru! :) has affected my studies though.. had gp paper at home today.. with mr ram bringing the papers and talkin bout his upcoming marriage... charmaine, bin hong, leng and kim came by today to visit.. with charmaine bringing a cute aloe vera plant... :) thanks so much guys! have missed school life! and have lost my momentum a lil.. gotta kickstart it again starting tmw.. :)
btw, i cant stand ppl hu try to play with my emotions and get a reaction outta me jus for kicks cos simply playin such pranks for ur own amusement, without consideration that i may be well and truly worried is not only insensitive, but also very juvenile. that's all i gotta say.. good day.
